Lane Ashfeldt has lived in Athens, Dublin and London. One of her first jobs was in a bar not far from the Moving Crib in Parnell Square, where if a customer didn’t name their poison, a pint and chaser meant a Guinness and a Jameson. She has also worked in bars in Athens and Köln. Lane’s short fiction has been published in anthologies and literary magazines in Ireland, England and America. In 2006 her story Dancing on Canvey won the Fish Short Histories prize. She is now working on a novel.
