unspeakable

by andrew lovatt

honestly,
speaking the unspeakable,
it is not fear alone
gripping us in the negative
but the act
of not fully being here
binding us to the paranoid
void
dead hope

helplessness
before the dread vision
of our non existence
questions
our need to love
that which is most
rejected in us
the unknowing knower
honestly
is

it is the wound
of love
that drives
our separation
asking to be seen
and cherished
a sacrament
of devotion
to life
