I live in this city
of tall buildings
and round squares
dark ally ways
and doorsteps
lead up to the bar
have a drink, take a last breath
were does the permanence go
when the high's gone?
just pricks
and nicks.

I was led into your garden
and like so many fairy tales of old
then it was made forbidden.
