Littler, a German/South African writer and filmmaker has written
two books of poetry
- "Babylon Wasteland" and "Notes
from Erehwon" - as well as three feature films - "Slowboat
to China", "The Road To God Knows Where" and "Fallen
From Grace" - and 18 short films.
He has made four 16mm narrative short films - "EREHWON", "Wild
Turkey", "East Main & 4th" and "St. Hank".
In addition to this he has organized the Frankfurt International
Underground Film Festival and recorded a Spoken Word/Free Jazz
album entitled "Tunes
From Babylon Wasteland".
He is in a constant state of transit between Germany, Ireland and North America.
..."whether i look out of the window at 5.13 in the morning
or get piss drunk at the 4th Street Cafe, there's always a poem
hiding there somewhere...
I take the barman's eyeball, the waitress' neck, my girl's smile, the local wino's
fist, the reverend's suit and i add a shot of kerosene, two table spoons of tabasco,
a pinch of spite and i throw it all in a blender..." |
