A stained
Thick
Blood red carpet
The bathroom tiles
Checkered
Black and white.
The tap's leaking
The naked 40 Watt bulb
Gives off
A sinister buzz
The moss green easy chair
Is torn
All over
And nicely complements
The odor
Of the ancient moth balls.
Peculiar insects
Are dying
In the electric mosquito trap
Outside my window
I'm sitting
Naked
With knife in hand
Behind a de-tuned piano
Dialing
A long distance number.
